Our School

Cambridge Gardens College is a welcoming English language school in the heart of Hastings, East Sussex, just five minutes from the train station, the beach and the town centre.

Our
Story

Cambridge Gardens College has been welcoming international students to Hastings since 2006. We specialise in creating complete educational packages for School Groups and Junior Language Holiday Groups, combining English courses, accommodation with carefully selected local host families or in student residences and tailored activity programmes. Alongside our group programmes, we also offer one-to-one English lessons for adults looking for a personalised learning experience by the sea.

As part of the CEI French Group, we benefit from international expertise and a shared commitment to high-quality education. We also work closely with trusted travel agents and educational partners in France, Spain and the Czech Republic, building strong relationships to deliver well-organised and reliable programmes.

Our Mission

We are passionate about helping English language learners achieve their personal, academic and professional goals through high-quality education that builds confidence and cultural understanding in a welcoming and supportive environment.

CGC Manager

Laurine WAILLE

I oversee daily operations, programme development, curriculum planning, and our wonderful team! I ensure everyone feels valued and supported as we work together towards achieving our students' goals. Having been with CGC since 2014, I bring an organised yet caring style to everything we do. Outside of work, you'll find me running along the seafront, doing calisthenics, hiking with my partner or cooking up something new! I also love learning new skills and exploring life's deeper questions – turning personal growth into an adventure!

Host Family Manager

Marie DUPLESSIS

I have been the Host Family Manager at Cambridge Gardens College since 2014. I serve as the main link between students and host families. My goal is to create positive and lasting experiences for everyone involved. I am responsible for selecting and visiting host families and carefully matching them with students, always striving to respect the needs, expectations, and preferences of both parties. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit, spending time with my loved ones, cooking, discovering new

cuisines, and travelling.
